Martelo has been bassist of infinity rock groups since the early 70s, rock chef and graphic designer.

Graduated from Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Colombia, visual arts study at the Arts Institute of San Francisco, California. Much of his years as a painter has been devoted to topics related to rock.

Martelo, who was born in Cartagena and lives in Villa de Leyva, Colombia, has been painting John Lennon for more than 30 years thanks to the admiration and respect he feels.

"It is a tribute and a legacy for the people who admire it. My work is literal because it conveys a direct message. It represents a time of psychedelic and free. "

Martelo's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world with great reception, and his paintings can be found in many private collections in Colombia, Europe and the United States.
